Why have you decided to serve as a Torchbearer for the JLB?
I have been following the Junior League of Birmingham’s One Place initiative since its inception in 2017.  As I learned more about their efforts to create the “One Place Alabama Family Justice Center,” serving victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, I was compelled to donate to this important cause.  Every person deserves the opportunity to share their experience with a team of professionals in a safe environment, where they are treated with dignity, respect, and empathy, resulting in a plan of action to help them overcome their circumstances.

What/who inspires you to be a Light in our community?
I have always felt I needed to give back to the community that has shaped the very essence of who I am.  Ann Huckstep encouraged me to stay in the flow and create a place where I would thrive.  Lindsey Tanner introduced me to this amazing project.  All the Torchbearers that came before me inspired me to stand with them to create this Community of Lights.
