Why have you decided to serve as a Torchbearer for the JLB?
I have always cared deeply for my community and relish the opportunity to serve in any way that I can. Having loved ones who have exeprienced domestic violence and sexual assault, I have seen first hand the devastation that can cause a person and their family. One Place Metro Alabama Family Justice Center offers advocacy and support to the victims of these tragic circumstances and needs our community's support. We owe it to these victims and our community to assist this organization in the amazing work that it does.

What/who inspires you to be a Light in our community?
My Mother, my wife and my daughter are my inspiration. My mother has dedicated the majority of her life to serving her community in many different ways and I hope to honor her efforts to improve our City in helping this cause. My wife’s love and support pushes me daily to be a better person and part of that process is serving those in need. As a father, ensuring my City is a safer place for my daughter to grow up is a basic requisite. Communities with a Family Justice Center have seen significant decreases in crime surrounding domestic violence and sexual assault. The inspiration is plentiful and the decision was easy.
