Why have you decided to serve as a Torchbearer for the JLB?
I decided to serve when I was asked to serve as a Torchbearer for the JLB because there is an inner passion {in me} for igniting more in our community to be more empowered in our daily lives. One Place’s mission truly embodies a safe place and voice for those are in or have faced domestic violence situations. It is a turning point for all. It is a place where a seed can be planted. A place where there is connection and love and empowerment. Breathing life back into those that literally had it taken away from them. As a sustainer of the JLB, I am honored to be a part of this Centennial gift to the community. I cannot think of a better way to give thanks for all they have done in so many lives in our city!

What/who inspires you to be a Light in our community?
The people I choose to surround myself inspire me to be a Light in our community. We have been given life by our amazing Creator, and we get to choose who we surround ourselves with daily. So much gratitude for the many that push me to be better, do better, love more, and serve more daily.
