Casey Hardeman
Casey is a Vice President at Protective Life and currently leads the Financial Planning and Analysis function which includes responsibility for corporate planning and budgeting, line of business finance, and reinsurance procurement.  He has managed various functions over his 12 year career with Protective including Financial Reporting, Investment Accounting, Reinsurance Administration and he most recently served as the CFO of Protective’s Life and Annuity business.  

He attended Auburn University where he graduate with a degree in Accounting and Finance.  He is a CPA (inactive) and a Chartered Financial Analyst.

He lives in the Forest Park neighborhood of Birmingham with his talented wife, Ann Katherine (AK), and two children, ages 4 and 6.  Casey’s passions away from work include woodworking, cooking and spending time with his family.

Why have you decided to serve as a Torchbearer for the JLB?
I decided to become a torchbearer because One Place plays a critical role in our community.   I couldn’t imagine how a victim of domestic violence or sexual assault would navigate the various agencies while dealing with the trauma without the support of One Place.  This is a tangible way for me to support these victims.  I am honored to be a Torchbearer.

What/who inspires you to be a Light in our community?
I am blessed and deeply grateful to have amazing women in my life that have always supported me.  When I first learned of One Place and the need they fill in the community I knew I needed to be a light for them and those in our community that most need it.
