Why have you decided to serve as a Torchbearer for the JLB?
As a past Junior League of Birmingham President, I am passionate about the issues in our community surrounding women and children.  I was a member of the committee that selected One Place as the recipient of the 100th Anniversary gift.  I am proud of the JLB for addressing domestic violence.  There are no boundaries.  Domestic violence continues to affect families and individuals across all races, all ages, all religions, and all socioeconomic levels.  It saddens me that the numbers continue to rise and that the need for services and safe places is increasing.  I am honored to carry the Past President Torch this year!

What/who inspires you to be a Light in our community?
There are many passionate women in this community who are my mentors starting with the Past Presidents of this incredible organization who continue to give of their time, talents, and resources to serve the Birmingham community.  I hope that I follow in their footsteps, to share the support each of them have shown me through the years, the vision they have for the future, and passion they share with each individual and organization they support.
